Questions people ask us
When should my child first see a dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by the first birthday or when the first tooth appears. Early visits are short and mostly about getting comfortable.
Can I stay with my child during the visit?
Yes. Many young children do best with a parent right there, as the photo on this page shows.
Why fix a baby tooth that will fall out anyway?
Baby teeth hold space for adult teeth and some stay until age 12. A decayed baby tooth can hurt, get infected, and let neighboring teeth drift into the space.
